Prof. Dr. Mustafa KANAT
Professor of Medicine at Atlas University Hospital, Director of Diabetes Research Center (DIMER) Turkey
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kanat graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1996. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at the same institution in 2002. Between 2003 and 2010, he served as a faculty member at İzzet Baysal Faculty of Medicine.
From 2010 to 2012, he completed a Fellowship in Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, one of the leading diabetes centers in the United States, and subsequently specialized in Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases.
Between 2012 and 2015, Prof. Dr. Kanat served as a faculty member in the Department of Internal Medicine at Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Medicine. From October 2015 until 2026, he served as a faculty member in the Department of Internal Medicine at Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Medicine, where he also served as Director of the Diabetes Research Center (DIMER).
He currently serves as Professor of Medicine at Atlas University Hospital, Istanbul, Türkiye, and continues his academic and clinical work in the fields of diabetes, endocrinology and metabolic diseases.
Prof. Dr. Kanat has authored numerous scientific publications in the field of diabetes, including articles published in leading international journals in diabetes and endocrinology, as well as contributions to international medical textbooks. His academic and clinical interests focus particularly on diabetes and metabolic diseases, and he continues to contribute actively to diabetes research, medical education and scientific programs both nationally and internationally.
